The Best Rooftop Bars of London

A refreshing drink in hand with a picturesque view of London from top is enough to make your day. Number of bars in London offers the same theme. We have picked up some of the best for you and here they are –

Culpeper Roof Garden

You will get double the gherkin at this restful spot in the City, since the time from when the Culpeper pub’s rooftop space is growing vegetables, as well as for the rooftop drinking with a view. The cocktails here are of real quality and the sample many an herb from the garden. Suggestion is book your sitting in advance from Mon to Sat, midday-3pm; and 6pm-10pm; on Sun midday till 3pm; walk ins throughout the day, year-round. 



Roofnic

A brand new rooftop bar for the year 2016 is located very near to luxurious Park Grand Paddington Hotel; Roofnic offers a sanctuary away from the rush of Oxford Street. It is known for the great tunes, fake grass and the slick white canopy for sheltering the inevitable downpours, plus, some of the exciting cocktails in just £7. We are pretty sure that Roofnic comes will get the tag of one of the popular Roof top bar this summer. Right now it is closed for winter but will Reopen in coming spring of 2016.  

Forest on the Roof

The restaurant cum bar on fifth floor of the Selfridges changes with the seasons; during autumn of  2015, it has become the Forest on the Roof, with exciting menu featuring a warming hotpots and seasonal food such as truffled mushroom risotto, plus comfortable drinks that include wealth of hot toddies and the blankets for chilly nights.

Frank's Café

Opened on last year in last week of May, Frank's Café is summer’s only bar which emerged on top of the Peckham's multi storey car park in summer of 2007 as part of a sculpture exhibition. Peckham is basically not famed for being scenic, but if you sit under the illuminated red canopy during twilight and drink in unparalleled views of most part of London along with your Campari based cocktail, prosecco or the bottled beer will give you an ultimate pleasure.

Aqua

The Aqua is famous, with the tagline less about the views and more about the booze just like that of London Park Grand Paddington Lancaster hotel. Aqua Spirit is a home to two year round terraces that work as the slick and moody sunset spots. As a result guests will find out good looking late night daters here, whereas many instead choose to get cosy in the bar inside. Aqua Opened on Mon to Sat, from noon till1am, year round if weather permitted.



Dalston Roof Park

It is an events space rather than a straightforward showy bar, Dalston Roof Park is a multi functional roof hovering atop trendy Cafe Oto. Inside their guests can enjoy a stylish dedicated bar, a food shack and the astroturf and this place also work as a great venue for everything from film screenings to the workshops. Actually the real appeal of the place is its calendar of parties, featuring on point DJs and famous local bands banging. If you want a lively evening, then head towards here without any second thought in mind. The Dalston remain closed for winters but you can enjoy the place in coming spring. 

Proof

Part of Playground and the Proof, this rooftop bar in United Kingdom Capital Fields is partners with a street food market. Actually Proof’s bar manager is used to run Hackney mezcaleria Quiquiriqui, so frozen mezcal drinks are a-flowing. Bar opened from Thu and Fri on 6pm to11pm, whereas on Sat and Sun you can enter inside from midday to11pm, round the whole calendar. 

Sushisamba (bar)

There is a pretty extraordinary rooftop bar that open all year round at the Brazilian Japanese Heron Tower hot spot Sushisamba. It is expect to be competing with crowds like the Rio Carnival on sunny days. At terrace area the point of focus is tree sculpture with attractive orange leaves that glitter when lit up after sunset. Recommendation is visit the interior bar on 39th floor and you’ll observe a close up of Gherkin that you could never tire of. You can join the bar Mon-Wed, from 11.30am-1am; On Thur 11.30am till 2am whereas on Fri-Sat 11.30am to 3am and Sun 11.30am till midnight, year-round. 

Boundary Rooftop

This predictable popular spot is set at the top of the Terence Conran designed Boundary Project hot and restaurants. In year 2013 it was remodelled, with a new tech weatherproof pergola allowing the bar and the dining area to stay open always in all weathers and heaters are also used to keep the chill off. Open from Mon to Sun, 10am to 11pm, every year round the calendar.

Queen Elizabeth Roof Garden Bar & Café

The South Bank is a preferred place to while away a stunning sunny evening, but the most excellent spot of all is this lovely is hidden away at the terrace attached to the part of Queen Elizabeth Hall's Café. It provides much needed green interval from the concrete wash of South Bank. Along wth the refreshing drinking options guests here can also enjoy wild flowers, fruit trees and glorious views. It remains closed for winter but will be back in service during spring.

Big Chill House

The King's Cross branch of this boozy bar harbor one of the area's few roof-top spots, and a largely undiscovered one, at that. It has a big space with attractive decking, sun umbrellas and most importantly the wooden shacks serving refreshing booze and delicious food. Place is perfect for you if you need a quick breather from funk, disco and the hip hop DJ sets that regularly hit the deck through the bar. You can join in from Mon-Wed & Sun during noon till midnight, Thur from noon-1am; Fri-Sat noon to 3am year round. Note that the place is weather dependent.
